Jumana Moon is a traditional oral storyteller with a wide repertoire of stories and a particular love of stories from Islamic tradition.
She researches and tells stories from Quran & Hadeeth, as well as Seerah stories. Jumana also tells folktales, wisdom tales & comedic stories from across the Ummah - stories that express the spirit of the faith. Jumana is also able to share longer pieces, adaptations from devotional poetry such as Rumi, Nizami & Jami.
Jumana shares stories across all age ranges and groups - to children and adults, in schools, museums, festivals and events of all kinds.
Jumana also works with musicians to offer a performance which includes traditional dad, drum & ney.
She believes that stories and creativity bring people together and help us understand ourselves and each other. Jumana is also a child psychotherapist working in primary school, she is able to use this experience to captivate a younger audience.
