Sameera Qureshi, MS has spent the last twelve years of her career working within Muslim communities and with professionals who serve Muslims. She started as a school-based Occupational Therapist, and transitioned into developing mental and sexual health education programs and initiatives. In the fall of 2020, Sameera started the Sexual Health for Muslims initiative. She is passionate about creating accessible, spiritually-grounded sexual health education content, focused on understanding sexual development across the lifespan; puberty; menstruation; healthy relationships; sex and intimacy; and family planning. She not only has educated individual Muslims who have questions about sexual health, but also with Muslims attending Islamic schools, colleges, universities, or those who are part of mosques and Muslim communities. Sameera's work has also taken her to present at national conferences in the United States and Canada.
In addition to her work in the sexual health field, Sameera is also a trauma-informed registered yoga instructor, and offers virtual classes for Muslims.
