I have been practicing since 2017 and have acquired experience working as a Chaplain, Spiritual Advisor, a Wedding Officiant and an Arabic Teacher.
I completed my Bachelors Degree in Arabic, Religion and Political Science from the University of Florida and a Masters of Divinity (MDiv) in Islamic Studies and Chaplaincy from the University of Chicago.
Currently, I am working on a second Master of Arts in Islamic Education, taking courses in Muslim Adolescent Identity Development, Contemporary Islamic Thought, and Islamic Ethics and excited to bridge my coursework with my chaplaincy.
Services I offer
I offer chaplaincy, spiritual and pastoral care services to any community, especially to Muslims. I have worked with Muslim students in four colleges, in addition to administrators, professors and other college college personnel.
Furthermore, I have worked as a hospital chaplain (the first Muslim hospital chaplain in Tampa, Florida, USA at a hospital), and prisons throughout the United States advocating for the spiritual needs of patients and inmates.
I am an advocate of spiritual needs and have led numerous workshops across the United States. I also do interfaith advocacy and educate people about Islam at places of worship, schools, and community centers. Workshops range from Islam and social justice to Ramadan 101 to caring for Muslims in hospitals and healthcare.
Moreover, I extend services as a wedding officiant who conducts nikahs, which consist of a personalized khutba (sermon) and ceremony of wedding the couple in an Islamic manner.
