Ustadha Wan Nadia was born and raised in Singapore.
Ustadha Nadia's whole family went through the secular education journey except her own self who attended the full time madrasah programme. No less her father raised the household to be based on the principles of adab as outlined by Professor Naquib al-Attas. She is as her father says, a bridge between the secular and traditional worlds, for the Muslims in her community.
Ustadha Nadia started teaching Quran at age 17 to English speaking Muslims in her community and regionally. She has been invited to speak and present discourses in various organizations, mosques and madrasahs both locally and regionally. She is currently managing WANS Education 21 and also one of the Board of Directors of Al-Zuhri Institution - which is the first Islamic Institute of Higher Learning in Singapore for full time Islamic studies.
